Near East University was awarded the Most Innovative University Award at Arablab, which brings together world giants in the field of technology, especially in the fields of robotics and automation products, nano technology, laboratory technologies, research and development, energy products.
According to the press release issued by the Directorate of Press and Public Relations Office of Near East University, Cyprus, the Most Innovative University Award was given to the TRNC, NEU, at the Arablab international fair in Dubai with products such as ECG T-Shirt, Walking MS Patients, Smart Hospital Room, Robotic Football Team, Unmanned Aerial and Marine Vehicles, as well as the wheelchair that can move with the power of thought developed by the Near East University Innovation and Information Technologies Center in order to facilitate the lives of the disabled.

In the statement that the Most Innovative University Award was presented to NEU Chairman of the Board of Trustees Assist. Assoc. Prof. Dr. İrfan S. Günsel, it was emphasized that Günsel pointed out that this award, which was presented to them at the international fair held in Dubai, where nearly a hundred countries introduced the new technological products developed by nearly a hundred countries in this sensitive period, gave important messages to the world.
